About Don Norman
Don Norman, Ph.D. is the Founding Director (Emeritus) of The Design Lab at the University of California, San Diego, and the Co-Founder and Principal of Nielsen Norman group.
Norman has published 21 books on psychology and design, including the 1988 bestseller, The Design of Everyday Things (revised and expanded edition published in 2013).
Norman is professor emeritus at Northwestern University and at University of California, San Diego. He has worked as a consultant and an executive at Apple, HP, Xerox Parc (where graphical user interfaces were largely invented), and numerous other forms.
Norman invented the term “User Experience Design” in the 1980s.
His latest book is “Design for a Better World: Meaningful, Sustainable, Humanity Centered”.
